What is the community and should I join
The community shows real applicants tracking the same visa subclass as you, including wait times and milestones. Joining is optional, your name is the only thing shared.
The community is a public feed of other Visafold users tracking the same visa subclass as you. It's how you see whether you're in a normal range — wait times, milestones, common roadblocks.
What's shown publicly
If you opt in:
- Your first name (or initials if you prefer)
- Your visa subclass
- Days waiting (computed from your lodgement date)
- Latest milestone you logged (e.g. "biometrics done", "RFI received")
What's never shown
- Last name, email, address, DOB
- Any document
- Any score, salary, financial detail
- Anything you didn't explicitly log as a milestone
Why join
The visa process is isolating. Seeing "Maria, 189, 287 days waiting, EOI invited" is more useful than refreshing ImmiAccount alone. People share what worked, what didn't, and you get a sense of pacing.
How to opt in
Settings → Community → toggle on. You can opt out at any time and your entries disappear immediately.
Reading without joining
The community feed is browseable without opting in — you just won't appear in it. Useful for lurking first if you're unsure.
